  • A Time for every season.

June 9, 2007 our daughter Amanda became Mrs. Michael Sutter.   I must admit a few tears dampened my eyes.  A father's job seems so simple in a wedding,, yet giving her away certainly caused me to pause.   Reminds me of how Christ left heaven to humble himself for me.  Giving up the most precious of all to achieve the greatest of all.  Phillipians Chapter 2.  Enjoy the photos with me.DSC02687 DSC02603 DSC02638 P1010226 DSC02647 5

  • Celebration

Mike&Amanda (3)   A better picture of our engaged couple.   Celebrate!!!

Wedding is planned for June 9, 2007.

"How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
Yes, 'n' how many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly
    Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, 'n' how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, 'n' how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many years can a mountain exist
Before it's washed to the sea?
Yes, 'n' how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, 'n' how many times can a man turn his head,
    Pretending he just doesn't see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind."  - Bob Dylan- "Blowing in the Wind"

Wedding Song - By Noel Paul Stookey, 1971

He is now to be among you at the calling of your hearts.
Rest assured this troubador is acting on His part.
    The union of
your spirits here has caused Him to remain,
for whenever two or more of you are gathered in His name,
There is love. There is love.

Oh, a man shall leave his mother, and a woman leave her home.
They will travel on to where the two will be as one.
As it was in the beginning, is now until the end,
woman draws her life from man
and gives it back again and there is love.
    Oh, there's love.

Well then what's to be the reason for becoming man and wife?
Is it love that brings you here or love that brings you life?
For is loving is the answer then who's the giving for?
Do you believe in something that you've never seen before?
Oh, there's love. There is love.

He is now to be among you at the calling of your hearts.
    Rest assured this troubador is
    acting on His part.
The union of your spirits here has caused Him to remain
for whenever two or more of you are gathered in His name
there is love. Oh, there is love.

  • Thanksgiving  "But because His word dwells richly—abundantly, extravagantly—within each person in the body, there is a uniting joy and koinonia that cannot be found anywhere else. It is substantial. It is unique. It is what fuels our “wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,” and what binds us all together as brothers and sisters."  David Lampel

PITY THOSE WITH NO REFERENCE FOR LIVING.

For the message [word] of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

    1 Corinthians 1:18

May this web message find all of you with a reason for giving thanks.  In US we celebrate next thursday (Nov 23) as a day of thanksgiving.  We will have grandkids, kids, friends and family at our house for a feast of turkey, potatoes, pies, and much more (Yum, Yum).  Celebrate all that God has given you!
